Annie & Ben; Kittery, Maine

Annie and Ben had a wonderful and intimate ceremony at a private residence in Kittery, Maine. This was a classic Maine wedding complete with a lobster dinner.  These two were such a pleasure to photograph and the backdrop didn’t hurt either!

Congratulations Annie & Ben!!

I love to hear your comments!  Please post them below.

Ceara & Paul; The Peabody-Essex Museum, Salem MA

This was our first trip to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem Massachusetts. What an absolutely spectacular location.  There is truly a little bit of everything here.  The classy Hawthorne Hotel, cobblestone streets, beautiful parks and amazing art.  Ceara and Paul are a delightful (and beautiful) couple.  The day went off without a hitch, despite Paul dropping the rings during the ceremony.  That was a nice tension breaker!

Congratulation Ceara & Paul!

Nick & Tasha; Truro, Cape Cod

I was a guest at a wedding this weekend!  My wonderful friends Nick and Tasha exchanged vows at the beautiful Highland Lighthouse in Truro, Cape Cod.

I could say so many wonderful things about this ceremony it’s hard to know where to start.  Nick and Tasha met over a pair of bongos and have always been very musical.  So Nick signing to Tasha with her bridesmaids backing up was no surprise.  The whole ceremony was incredibly touching, symbolic and authentic.

Congratulations Nick and Tasha!!

Caitlin & Mike; Mountain Top Inn, Chittenden Vermont

I am voting The Mountain Top Inn as the best place to photograph weddings in Vermont.  This was my first time there and I was blown away.  They really have it all - a very nice Inn, a permanent tent, fields, views, lakes and an unbelievable timber frame house appropriately called, the jewel.

Now no one plans on getting married in the rain but Caitlin really shined in the soggy weather.  It’s all about attitude, check out the boots!

It was an absolute joy photographing Caitlin and Mike!

Yelena & Pat Sunset Hill House; Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

If anyone is looking for the most photogenic place to get married, look no further.  The Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill NH (home of the famous Polly’s Pancake Parlor) is hands down the easiest place to photograph in New Hampshire.  Or maybe it was just an easy subject!

Yelena & Pat had a spectacular New Hampshire wedding!  With the amazing view of the presidential range as their personal backdrop they exchanged beautiful and heartfelt vows.

It was just such an easy, laid back wedding!  Congratulations Yelena & Pat!!

All of Yelena & Pat’s photos are on-line here.  As always, I love to hear your comments!!

Andy & Gyodi; Promises To Keep Engagement Photos

Andy & Gyodi are such a fun couple.  You can tell, I’m sure from the pictures!  They were seriously silly.  And despite Promises To Keep in Derry, New Hampshire looking a little scraggly in the end of March, we made some pretty darn cute photos.

Can’t wait for their Spring wedding!!

Want to see more from this session?  They are all on-line here.

Please let me know what you think!

Liz & Chris’s Winter Wedding at Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham MA

I kicked off my 2009 wedding season this weekend with Liz and Chris at the Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod.  You just can’t go wrong at this Inn.  It’s in the top five of the nicest venue I’ve ever seen.  Honestly, it makes photographing easy.  The place is just perfect. It’s big, bright, ocean front, excellent staff and incredible food.

Just one funny story and then you can look at the pictures….Someone made a mistake and the Mother of the Bride’s reservation was lost.  Liz (the bride) got upset.  It all worked out, but I guess maybe Liz caused a bit of a raucous.

Liz saw a housekeeper and asked, “have you heard about the crazy bride running around?”

“Yes.”  Said the housekeeper.

“That’s me.” Said Liz.

The only kind of crazy that is, is crazy funny.

Below are a few of my favorite shots and here is a link to a slideshow to see more.

Oh and the band, I have to mention this band!  The Marsels were incredible.  Top 2 wedding bands I’ve ever seen.  They were a fantastic band that happens to be play weddings, not your typical wedding band.  Everyone should book them because I want to see them again.

And Allison Wildes Liset did a fantastic job planning such a elegant wedding.

Thoses dance lesson's paid off!
Yeah, Chris! Play that funky music.

Jim & Jill at the Providence RI Botanical Center

So if you are getting married in November and want to have a lush wedding, follow Jim and Jill lead.  Get married in a greenhouse like the one at the Botanical Center at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island.

This wedding was special for many reasons.  Most importantly, Jill is an absolutely fantastic person.  I often say I have the best clients, but when I arrived at Jill’s house on her wedding day and she told me she had a gift for my baby, I was completely blown away.  That is a kind of selflessness I would never imagined.

The ceremony was wonderfully genuine.  The Justice of the Peace said some of the most spectacular things I  have ever heard at a wedding.  My favorite was when Jill and her father walked down the aisle and she gathered all the parents and Jim and said, “we don’t give away our children.”  How true and inclusive that felt.

Jill’s wonderful 4 year old son was also welcomed into the ceremony and then later sang with the band.

Look at Jill’s ring!  Everything about this wedding was so unique!  She even had a hot dog stand serving dogs and chips as the night wore on.  I don’t eat hot dogs, but I still thought it was a great idea.

I wish you guys the best times ahead!  Thank you for sharing such a special event with me.

Colleen & Emmett, The Common Man Resort Plymouth New Hampshire

My first wedding after becoming a mama, was this past weekend at the Common Man Resort and Spa in Plymouth NH.  Leaving a four week old baby at home felt like leaving my right arm, but it was well worth it for an absolutely fabulous wedding, gorgeous weather, beautiful locations and super fun people.

So we crashed a Plymouth State University party to take the photo above.  The guys we’re super cool about it, see below.  On a side note, can you imagine this being the backyard of your college apartment?

Congratulations Colleen and Emmett!!  Please leave me your comments below.
