More Raves

I woke up this morning to this email:

Dear Thea,

I really don’t know what to say. The pictures were absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t be more happy! I have to admit, I look at them almost every day. They really capture the way we felt that day, so I am almost able to relive it..haha. We really feel so lucky that we found you, and cannot thank you enough.

Thanks again,

Mike and Jen DesJarlais

My day is made and it’s just past dawn! Fantastic.

Semi-Finalist

Just a couple of days ago I found out that I made the top 10 cut in the “Wedding Day” category of the Digital Wedding Forum’s “Photo of the Year” contest. It’s taken me a couple of days to believe it. I keep checking back to see if it was some sort of mistake. It’s totally surreal to look at the semi-finalist page and see one of my images.

How flattering!! There were hundreds of submissions from the best wedding photographers all over the world. The images were rated by some of the rock star status wedding photographers that I admire. I’m still just spinning to see one of my photos in the semi-finalist category.

So which one was it?

It’s this photo from Kate & Erik’s backyard wedding in Laconia, NH.

The semi-finalist images are being voted on now and three winners will be announced in January. The competition at this point is incredibly steep!! I will keep you all posted.

Cheers,
Thea

Portraits, Portraits, Portraits….

I’ve fallen behind in blogging my portrait sessions and I’ve had sooo many awesome ones lately. Here’s a little sample.
