Kristen & Craig Chatham Bars Inn Cape Cod, Massachusettes

While going to the Cape on Memorial Day is a New England tradition, this Friday was my first. It was fabulous. Absolutely perfect weather, spectacular location, stunning light and a wonderful bunch of people celebrating Kristen & Craig.

The Chatham Bars Inn is a very classy resort, but nothing matched the class of this couple. The ceremony was so heart felt, genuine and moving, it brought most of guests to tears.

The toasts we’re so emotional that I myself had to step back, give the couple some room and keep my own tears back.

And the golden rule to a heartfelt toast is to end with a light hearted joke.

An absolutely wonderful wedding - Thank You Kristen and Craig! It’s clients like you guys who make me love what I do.

All the best,

Thea

Tamsen & Steven’s Engagement Session

Yesterday I met Tamsen and Steven at Dexter’s Inn in Sunapee and we talked about their June wedding. Dexter’s Inn is wonderful and I am so excited for this wedding. Just look at these views! And they are going to have a horse and buggy! Check back on June 16th for photos from the event!!

While we we’re there we did some fun engagement shots.

Beth & Jon Cumberland, Rhode Island

Beth and Jon had a wonderful Spring wedding this weekend. Now this was a true Spring wedding complete with Spring showers. The drizzle and overcast is perfect for photos. The cool temperature was a bit of challenge.

Beth got ready at her parents home in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

The ceremony was held at St. James Church in Manville, Rhode Island.

And reception at the Crystal Lake Golf Club in Harrisville, Rhode Island. Very nice spot!

While I was shooting the formals, this is what was going on behind me.

The DJ called out the first person to clink on their glass and made him sing the couple with a song with the word love in it. No one clinked a glass the rest of the night.

Beautiful cake made by Jennifer Luxmoore of Eat Wicked.

And lastly, here is the ring bearer getting thrown over the shoulder of one of the guests.

Our Little Alien

This morning we got to look into my growing belly.  I must say it is pretty remarkable.  There is this little being developing inside of me and it’s pretty much all there - just really small.

It has a big head, two hands, two feet, a funny shaped body, legs & arms, a strong heartbeat and the most flexible spine I’ve ever seen.  It’s just wild.

We did not find out the sex because we couldn’t come up with enough reasons to…but in case we change our minds the tech printed out a picture and put it in a sealed envelope, labled “gender.”  What an amazing temptation it is knowing we could just open that envelope and know!  Any bets on how long we’ll make it?

Well here is a picture of the little alien.  Not the best reproduction so don’t feel bad if you can’t make anything out.
