Palmer, Paige & Pierce

These kids were so much fun!  I had to share.  I love the shot of Palmer with his hands up - he had just had enough.  So much color and personality in this bunch of red heads.

Jen & Rich, Waverly Oaks Golf Club Plymouth Massachusetts

Super fun wedding this weekend with Jen & Rich at the Waverly Oaks Golf Club in Plymouth Massachusetts. Beautiful day with bright, blue skies.  Perfect little ceremony and all around great people.

This was the best entry!  Arriving in a golf cart, all of the guests rose to cheer Jen.  It was a complete surprise!

The only thing that did not go right for Jen and Rich was that the Red Sox did not win on their wedding day.  Shame.  Big baseball fans, so I thought this ring shot was appropriate.

Tamsen & Steven, Dexter’s Inn, Sunapee New Hampshire

Dexter’s Inn in Sunapee New Hampshire is an absolutely spectacular place to have a wedding. Especially if you are super cool people like Tamsen and Steven. They had a perfect wedding this past Saturday with Mount Sunapee in the background, a horse drawn carriage, beautiful weather, tender moments and then a serious party.

Here is a quick storyboard of the day. To order this design in a beautifully bound archival album, please contact me. All of you who have pre-registered for Tamsen and Steven’s wedding gallery will receive an email within 2 weeks when all of their photos are available.

Please let me know what you think!

Rachel & Dave, The Hellenic Center in Ipswich Massachusettes

This was my first time at the Hellenic Center in Ipswich and I hope to be back again soon. It is a beautiful, colonial building with sprawling gardens. Rachel and Dave were lucky enough to have clear blue skies and record high heat. It was a good day to have a morning wedding and an air conditioned reception.

Rachel and Dave met in a poetry class and decorated the hall with books, green apples and a typewriter for the guest book. Everything was so cute and clever with the perfect colors of green and pink. Speaking of cute, Rachel’s dress was super cute! It’s not often that you see a short wedding dress and that is a shame.

Here is Rachel and Dave’s day in a little album design. To order this album beautifully bound in an archival album, please contact me. If you would like to be notified when all of Rachel & Dave’s photos are on-line please pre-register here.

As always, please leave your comments.

We’ve been published!

I’ve had photographs published before, but this is the first time that I’ve been published for writing!  Check out the top ten tips for planning an eco-chic wedding in New Hampshire.

Here is a little excert:

Are you getting married in New Hampshire because of the beautiful landscapes, rolling hills, stunning lakes and quaint communities?  Most people, who get married here, do so because of the environment.  So if the environment drew you to your wedding venue, then how are you going to use your wedding to protect that environment?

This is something I think about everyday.  As a New Hampshire wedding photographer, I exploit the natural environment every day of the week.  I use the landscapes for backgrounds, the sun for beautiful light and vegetation as props.  I feel that makes me personally responsible for ensuring the preservation of these resources.  My business has been configured around this philosophy.  If you care about these things too, then I’ve got some suggestions to green your New Hampshire wedding.

What do you think?  I would love to hear your comments.

Jessica & Dave Holiday Inn Select, Boston Massachusettes

Jess and Dave had the ultimate Boston wedding on this past Saturday. They chose the Holiday Inn Select because of the panoramic views of the city from the 15th floor. It was rather terrifying if you got too close to the windows, but beautiful for photos.

We started our day at the hotel for the usually getting ready.

And then we got into a Beantown Trolley with the entire wedding party, bride, groom and parents and headed to the Museum of Science Boston.

From there the trolley took us the Boston Public Garden for formal pictures.

And this was all before the wedding! Everyone was having such a good time on the trolley -hooting and hollering. It was the best way to take the edge off of everyone’s pre-ceremony nerves.

And then the ceremony.

Here’s the view:

And the choreographed first dance:

Now the DJ did some very clever things that I had not seen before. First was after he gave away the center pieces with the usually dollar dance, he had all the winners come up and dance for the bride and groom to New York, New York.

And then the DJ divided the sexes on the dance floor and had a sing-off to the tune of Sweet Caroline.

The ladies won and the dance floor was packed for the rest of the night. Good times.

Thank You Jess and Dave!!
