Kyra Update

For everyone who has asked to see a recent picture of the Moon-Bear (as she is lovingly referred), here she is.

Six months already and sitting up unassisted.  I’m going to miss this toothless grin!

Happiness…

Although Spring is a happy time all by itself, I wanted to share a fantastic radio program I heard a few days ago.  This was produced by Future Perfect from Wisconsin Public Radio.  It is the forth part of a series, called “Our Peace of Mind.”

You can listen to the whole program by following this link.  It’s really worth it!

Andy & Gyodi; Promises To Keep Engagement Photos

Andy & Gyodi are such a fun couple.  You can tell, I’m sure from the pictures!  They were seriously silly.  And despite Promises To Keep in Derry, New Hampshire looking a little scraggly in the end of March, we made some pretty darn cute photos.

Can’t wait for their Spring wedding!!

Want to see more from this session?  They are all on-line here.

Please let me know what you think!

Raves

This morning I had an email from Liz Dalton whose wedding at the Chatham Bars Inn, I just posted on-line yesterday.

I love them all!! I am so distracted at work right now! All I want to do is look at them. Thank you so much for all of your hard work…they really are gorgeous!

It just feels so good to hear stuff like that!

Here’s a page out the album I just designed for them.

A few Vermont engagement shots

I’m super excited for Caitlin & Mike’s wedding this July!  They’ve picked a fantastic venue - The Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden VT.  Very beautiful spot with lots of Vermont charm!

I met them a couple weeks ago at the Inn to do some planning and take some winter wonderland engagements

This is my homage to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - probably one of the greatest movies ever.

How’d I do?  I tried snow angles too, which was fun but may be not as clever as I was trying to be.

How about the face on the tree?

This is going to be a great wedding!

Tips for Greener Photography - PPA Web Exclusive

It’s pretty exciting to see my name printed on the Professional Photographer Magazine’s Web Exclusives.  Almost as exciting as it is to imagine all of PPA’s 40,000 members instituting simple energy conservation practices.

I hope you all will take a look and let me know what you think.  This is the first of a series Greener Photography is doing for Professional Photographer Magazine (both print and web).

Happy Spring (almost)!

Liz & Chris’s Winter Wedding at Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham MA

I kicked off my 2009 wedding season this weekend with Liz and Chris at the Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod.  You just can’t go wrong at this Inn.  It’s in the top five of the nicest venue I’ve ever seen.  Honestly, it makes photographing easy.  The place is just perfect. It’s big, bright, ocean front, excellent staff and incredible food.

Just one funny story and then you can look at the pictures….Someone made a mistake and the Mother of the Bride’s reservation was lost.  Liz (the bride) got upset.  It all worked out, but I guess maybe Liz caused a bit of a raucous.

Liz saw a housekeeper and asked, “have you heard about the crazy bride running around?”

“Yes.”  Said the housekeeper.

“That’s me.” Said Liz.

The only kind of crazy that is, is crazy funny.

Below are a few of my favorite shots and here is a link to a slideshow to see more.

Oh and the band, I have to mention this band!  The Marsels were incredible.  Top 2 wedding bands I’ve ever seen.  They were a fantastic band that happens to be play weddings, not your typical wedding band.  Everyone should book them because I want to see them again.

And Allison Wildes Liset did a fantastic job planning such a elegant wedding.

Thoses dance lesson's paid off!
Yeah, Chris! Play that funky music.
