Tips for a Kid Friendly Wedding!

I thought this was a clever article and it features one of my photos.  Let me know what you think!

Raves

This is the best email I have received all summer.  I get lots of emails like this, but to be called this one really sums up what I try to do at every wedding.

So, the photos are gorgeous!  I’ve been sending the link out to everyone I know.  Chris and I both agreed that you were our best choice among all the vendors.  Despite a bleak day, you managed to capture a natural brightness from within the wedding.  We were pleasantly surprised that without really knowing who our closest relatives were, you caught some of their most classic expressions (i.e. #597 - Uncle Jack).

Thanks again!
Susan

And then this one came through facebook with the subject “words cannot express my thanks…”

you did a wonderful job on Saturday. You helped keep us relaxed all day and truly amazed us with your immediate preview at the reception. With such a fine sunny day and such glorious scenery, I’m sure it would have been difficult to take a bad photo. I can’t wait to see the rest of our proofs.
Please pass this message on to your assistants as well. They did a spectacular job all day and couldn’t have been more friendly and professional.
Thanks again and talk to you soon.

New Address & Phone Number

We’re Moving!
Authentic Eye is moving to the foothills of the White Mountains.  Rumney, New Hampshire is just a few miles from Plymouth, NH and minutes from I-93.  We think this will be a much more convenient location for everyone!! The new contact information below.

Laura & Derek: Les Zygomates; Boston, MA

I am just home from a fantastic city wedding.  It is so rare for me to shoot in an urban setting that I forget how fun it can be.

Laura and Derek must be the most relaxed couple on their wedding day.  The exchanged vows in City Square Park just down the street from their Charlestown apartment.  They were lucky to get a picture perfect day, since they really didn’t have a rain day.  After the ceremony we popped into the bar where they first met.  They got the VIP treatment.

So I tend to be skeptical about restaurant receptions.  Restaurants often aren’t set up for large functions.  Les Zygomates has proved me wrong.  They were fantastic and handled a crowd of over 100 no problem.  Not to mention the food was top notch.  Highly recommend!

Peeker & Jonathan: Chinook Trail; Wonalancet, New Hampshire

This was the quincentennial New England wedding.  Fall colors, a small chapel, mountains, lakes and a light rain.  All wedding should be this easy.  It was an honor photographing Peeker and Jonathan, thanks for having me guys.

Kristen & Dom: The Bond Ballroom; Hartford, CT

Photographing in Hartford CT was such a pleasure.  What a great city!  We got a permit to photograph in city hall, which was amazing and then the Bond Ballroom is a hidden gem inside the Homewood Suites.  The ballroom is spectacular and the food by Ann Howard Catering is hands down the best wedding food I’ve ever seen.

This was just a perfect wedding and a wonderful couple.  Congratulations Kristen and Dom!!

Jessica & Brett: The Common Man Inn; Plymouth, NH

Anyone who wants an outdoor wedding but is afraid of rain should get married in a greenhouse.  It rained on Jessica and Brett but in the green house behind the Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth it didn’t matter.

An absolutely spectacular wedding, joy to photograph.  I can’t say enough good things about this wedding or this couple.  Although I see people in love every weekend, Jes and Brett are seriously in love!  And Bret is an incredibly sweet man who wears his heart on his sleeve.  I wish this couple the absolute best in marriage!
